Country music stars and fishing buddies Morgan Wallen and Eric Church have announced they are now part of the team that owns the Field & Stream brand and magazine.
Field & Stream outdoor lifestyle brand was purchased from Dick’s Sporting Goods and Field & Stream digital magazine was purchased from Recurrent.
“I remember my grandfather keeping some of his favorite Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck,” Church said.
“That truck took us on hundreds of outdoor adventures, and I pretty much memorized every story and every photo on every page. They were my bible. It is the honor of my life to ensure that tradition continues. This responsibility is also a responsibility to the boy in his daddy’s truck, the symbol of America and the compass that guides our steps.”
According to a news release, the singers plan to take a “practical approach to ensuring Field & Stream’s authenticity is maintained, cementing its authority in outdoor spaces, and remaining true to its roots.” It is said that
Plans include the relaunch of a revamped digital platform, apparel collection, outdoor music festival, and new Field & Stream 1871 Club, which will bring back print publications.
“There’s nothing I love more than spending time with friends around a campfire, on a boat, or in a deer stand. Field & Stream represents all of that to me,” Warren said. Ta. “It’s incredible to be a part of that future. We want to continue to bring people together outdoors and make memories.”
This magazine is published twice a year. Field & Stream 1871 Club members receive exclusive access to priority ticket access to the Field & Stream Music Festival, member-only gear, exclusive discounts and content, and more. A portion of the proceeds from the club are donated to nonprofit organizations that support outdoor activities.
After publishing its 125th anniversary issue, Field & Stream magazine ceased print publication in 2021 and became digital-only.
Field & Stream has announced that Doug McNamee, former president of Magnolia, the media and lifestyle brand co-founded by Chip and Joanna Gaines, will lead the new brand. Colin Kearns, who has been Editor-in-Chief of Field & Stream since 2016, will remain in his role along with the editorial team.
