The Indiana Regional Entrepreneurship Council (ICE), a new business advisory group, held its first weekly meeting at the Technology Entrepreneurship Center in downtown Indiana.

“I believe in the transformative power of local business and am committed to fostering an environment where innovation and prosperity can flourish,” said TEC Executive Director Dr. Eric Lauber.

The group’s goal is to foster economic growth and foster innovation in the Indiana region. It will be held in the TEC classroom on Fridays at 10am or 11am.

Lauber said local entrepreneurs interested in starting a business or making a big change can meet with multiple experts at ICE sessions. The group’s goal is to foster economic growth and foster innovation in the Indiana region.

“The success of TEC’s co-working spaces and TV/photo studios, not to mention 3D workspaces and high-end computer classrooms, shows what is possible when local people are supported and given the opportunity to achieve their goals. It’s a vision,” Lauber said.

Attendees at Friday’s first ICE discussion included Dan Fleming of Memory Lane Media. Ricky Miller, CEO of Sea World Satellites. Mark Zirner, CEO of Diamond Pharmacy Services. John Horrell, President of KIZ Resources. Jose Otero, Portfolio Manager at Ben Franklin Technology Partners. John Dolan is the former CEO of First Commonwealth Financial Corporation.

“We have seen what local people can do when they are supported and given the opportunity to achieve their vision,” Lauber said.

Fleming’s wife, Brittany, is a majority partner in the so-called women-owned business, which has three stores, the main store is located in the atrium where TEC is located on Philadelphia Street, and Green’s is a convenient place for customers to stop by. We partner with coffee shops in Berg and Johnstown. Turn off home movies and photos.

Dan Fleming said the business started in 2021 in 50 square feet of his home and moved a year and a half later to more than 800 square feet of space on the street-level floor of the atrium.

Mr. Otero, a Johnstown native, joins Ben Franklin Technology Partners in his hometown of Indiana, serving 32 counties in central and northern Pennsylvania, from Erie to Lancaster counties, including Jefferson, Clearfield and Cambria counties. I am joining.

For the past two and a half years, he has been involved in recruiting efforts in Indiana County and six counties in the southern Allegheny region: Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset. We are recruiting minority companies.

Others involved with ICE but not present Friday include Tony Palamone, former director of the Small Business Development Center at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Bob Marcus, partner at the Indiana law firm of Marcus & Mack. John Horell, President of KIZ Resources

Lauber said other members of the business community are also likely to be added. If you require further information, please contact Lauber at [email protected].
