Afrojack has a “hidden talent” of drawing.

The 36-year-old DJ, whose real name is Nick Van de Waal, has enjoyed huge success in the music industry in recent years, but now describes painting as his “cool party trick”.

He told Us Weekly, “My secret talent is drawing. I can draw anything, like a copy. It’s super useless, but it’s a cool party trick.”

Afrojack has worked with many famous music artists in recent years, including David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Bebe Rexha.

But the ‘Another Life’ hitmaker recalls being particularly struck by his star quality when he came face-to-face with another Dutch DJ.

He said, “I met Martin Garrix at Clive Davis’ Grammy party and was blown away.”

Meanwhile, Afrojack previously described himself and David Guetta as “polar opposites”.

Nevertheless, DJ believes they can work together very well.

Speaking to Billboard, he explained: “Because he has a certain vision and I have a certain vision.

“I have a vision for the dance floor – and now with ‘Future Rave’ he definitely has that vision too – but I used to have more of a vision for radio.

“For me, when I make a hip-hop beat for ‘Hey Mama,’ it’s just a hip-hop beat, but for him that’s the most important thing. And he’ll make a dance beat, I was like, “Oh my god, this is insane,” and he was like, “Oh, that’s cool.” In that sense, we seem to be complete opposites. ”

Asked to explain the secret behind their chemistry, Afrojack replied, “I think it’s because we’re best friends. I think that’s very, very important.”
