It’s a little difficult to introduce a band that speaks for themselves. Since appearing with her debut single in 2020, “My life is over.” Military guns have always had a place in people’s conversations. I often recommend them to those who are unfamiliar with them because of their amazing musical craftsmanship. They seamlessly transition from hardcore to a more indie and relaxed sound. Military Gunn is continually evolving, taking chances and exploring different avenues in music.

Well, Military Gun is back with a new EP. life under the sun, Featuring collaborations with Bree, Mannequin Pussy and Manchester Orchestra. The EP does not feature any completely new songs, but is made up of his four original tracks from his great debut album and a cover of his NOFX. “Oops, OD’D” Let’s dive in.

First on the list is the revamped “never failed,” The current title is “Never fail again‘ Enter Alicia Bognano, aka Bree. A simplified version of this song. Ian Shelton’s gentle yet raspy voice, accompanied by a soft acoustic guitar and Brie’s delicate vocals, gives the song a fresh feel. The title change seems appropriate.

Next, we played “” with an acoustic performance.Very expensive” and “will logic,” To be honest, this is easy on the ears. As a fan ofvery expensive,” I was waiting for the acoustic version, but the whole band worked together on this track, which added an extra layer of charm. “Will Logic” Although he is not particularly vocal, he shows off his technique. More on this in a moment. So far, the addition of a xylophone with a surprise feature from Mannequin Pussy makes this collaboration creatively appealing. The synergy between mannequin pussy and military gun always creates something unique.

“My Friends Are Hang a Hard Time” is a collaboration with Manchester Orchestra. The vocals are subtly embellished with soothing synthesized sounds, creating a balance that further enhances the overall enjoyment. Even if the song brings musical joy. The strong lyrics of this song have a bit of melancholy, creating a very deep atmosphere. But seriously? But seriously, this song hits where it needs to, even when played with the Manchester Orchestra. Now, brace yourself. What I am about to express may not be acceptable to everyone. I really think the cover of “Whoops I OD’D” is very well done and produced. I might like this version better than NOFX.

These are my thoughts to conclude the review. This EP is a great example of IF Militarie Gun deciding to explore several different genres in the future. life under the sun They’ve proven they can do it. The EP is different, but Ian Shelton’s voice has a little more emotion this time around. I hope they continue to explore and push the boundaries of their music. They, the whole band, did a great job with the EP.
