How an EV icon is targeting the ultra-wealthy with lavish innovation

Justin Lunny is not your everyday entrepreneur. Instead, he’s better known as an electric car fanatic who’s reaching the ultra-wealthy where they’re at.

A long-time business guru with a background in tech and fintech, Lunny is the CEO and Founder of Everrati, a UK-based luxury car company founded in 2019, aiming to turn classic vehicles into powerful electric machines. With a strong passion for the automotive industry, Lunny’s journey to pioneering his company started with an initial interest in blending history and modern-day technology.

“It began with a deep love for classic cars and a growing awareness that the world around them was changing quickly. I’ve always been drawn to vehicles that are more than just machines—cars that represent craftsmanship, emotion, and design at its finest,” he said.

With the idea that vintage meets new, that became the solid framework for Lunny’s vision. Everrati, focused on revitalizing the world’s most iconic cars—like the Ford GT40 and the Land Rover Series IIA—soon became an existent reality.

“The idea was to merge two worlds: the heritage and nostalgic passion people have for classic cars with the performance and sustainability of modern electric powertrains. Everrati was born from that intersection, not with the intention to modernize these icons for novelty’s sake, but to redefine them in a way that respects their original spirit and keeps them relevant for decades to come,” Lunny added.

Turning classic cars into electric vehicles (EVs) starts with a full restoration of the original chassis and body, ensuring every detail remains true to the original vehicle’s heritage. Within the re-engineering process, each car is designed with a zero-emissions powertrain, intended to elevate the car’s performance and drivability, while simultaneously amplifying the need for a greener environment.

Furthermore, what began as an ambitious project in the UK is now making its way to the United States to tap into the ultra-wealthy’s car culture. While each car is an upwards of $500,000, American car enthusiasts can now enjoy the sole benefits of the one-of-a-kind invention, too.

Most uniquely, the US market is a prime opportunity to emphasize artistry at its finest. Not only are these cars made to withstand many more generations to come, but they serve as a piece of aesthetic that aims to turn heads for their distinct character and personality.

“They’re not buying a car—they’re commissioning a piece of art with motion and memory built in. The Everrati client often already owns a garage full of automotive legends, but they’re looking for something more personal—something that reflects both their appreciation for heritage and their commitment to the future. They care about performance, yes, but just as much about provenance, craftsmanship, and the story behind the build,” Lunny explained.

As real-time data proves, many Americans this year are considering purchasing an EV. In a recent US Electric Vehicle Consideration (EVC) study, 24% of car buyers say they are “very likely” to buy an electric car in 2025, representing an increase of 11.4% year over year. If the trend persists, electrification could be a dominant form of transportation for not just the rich, but also consumers who simply want a modernized, earth-friendly automobile.

At the very least, Lunny believes that sustainable luxury is at the utmost priority as rising concerns about air pollution and gas emissions continue across car fans and environmentalists alike. With meticulous attention to detail, Lunny hopes to stay true to the environment by crafting something that stands the test of time, but also so deeply cares for America’s natural surroundings.

Lunny’s work represents much more than a business venture. Even more, it’s a dream to preserve time and reshape how the world views the automotive industry. Because in an era of rapid technological change, what America needs now is timeless innovation that will keep car connoisseurs on their feet always.
