Nothing humbles a Hollywood star more than the unabashed, unfiltered opinions of their own children.
Many A-list celebrities have admitted that they object to their own flesh and blood watching them on screen. Some people find it “weird” and others don’t like the subject matter.
They’re not watching their parents on the big screen anyway.
Here are some of the children of Hollywood’s elite who ignored the projects of their famous parents.

During a recent appearance on The View, Foster admitted that she hid her acting career from her children when they were young.
“I don’t think I wanted them to know me that way,” Foster explained. “I wanted them to know that I was a mother and a person who went to work and stuff, but I didn’t want them to be confused about what I did for a living. ”
Foster, 61, declined to say when she revealed the truth to her adult sons, Charles “Charlie”, 25, and Christopher “Kit”, 22. Despite their support, Foster says he can’t tell his sons the truth. He watches her movies with her.

Two years ago, Ben Affleck hinted that children weren’t interested in his work while discussing the 1998 film Armageddon. Affleck told Entertainment Weekly that the film was the only one that caught the interest of his children.
“It’s funny because this is the only movie of mine that my kids have seen. Even if they relentlessly ridicule this movie and me, they’ll admit they like it to some degree,” he revealed. Garner has a different view of her children, telling InStyle that they are more reluctant to watch her movies than their father.
“My kids don’t like watching me do anything. They’re supportive, but it’s a little weird seeing your mom kiss someone or cry.” I think so,” she told the outlet while promoting her series “The Last Thing He.” told me. ”

More recently, during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Damon further emphasized his family’s disinterest in watching his work, telling the talk show host that his teenage daughter said that he liked roasting himself.

Damon gave a funny example, admitting the 2016 film The Great Wall was “not very good.”
“My daughter was talking to one of her friends and we were talking about this movie, and she said, ‘My dad did this movie, ‘The Wall.’ And she kept calling it ‘The Wall.’ And finally I said, “Isabella, that movie is called The Great Wall.” And she said, “Dad, there’s nothing great about that movie.” ”
In addition to Isabella, Damon also has daughters Gia, 14, and Stella, 13, with his wife Luciana. He is also stepfather to Luciana’s daughter Alexia, 24, from another relationship.

Gwyneth Paltrow has mostly retired from acting, but she still has some active projects.
The Goop founder, 51, says that despite her extensive portfolio, children are not interested in her films.
“My kids have never seen my movie,” Paltrow told Today in 2021. “I mean, I think my son has seen something like ‘Iron Man,’ but I don’t think my daughter has.” Me in the movie. ”

She stars in the new film The Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling and says her daughters are thrilled to be working with the same actor who plays Ken in Barbie.
“They’re very happy. They’ve never been interested in anyone I’ve ever worked with,” Blunt revealed. “They know a lot of people that I’ve worked with. But Ryan, Ryan is it for them. … They’re like, ‘What does he look like when he has normal hair?’ Can you see it?’ I was like, ‘Can you see it?’”

In a joint interview with Extra, Cox and Arquette spilled that their 19-year-old daughter Coco is in no rush to attend the reunion.
Arquette said, “She hasn’t seen the movie,” and Cox added, “She’s seen part of Scream 1.”
