Tom Selleck plans to relax and travel after the final episode of the popular police show Blue Bloods concludes.
The 78-year-old actor’s 13-year run on the CBS series will come to an end later this year, but sources say he has no regrets about ending it as it allows him to spend more time working on his own work. He runs a ranch with his wife Jilly Mack (66).
A source told Closer: “He wants to relax at the ranch, walk around the grounds, spend time with his wife and family, and do some traveling.
“Tom and Jilly are very content just sitting at home, cooking and going for long walks.
“He loves Jilly and trusts her to plan activities and trips.
“He’s looking forward to spending more free time with her.”
Tom lives in a 65-acre home near Ventura, California, where he grows avocados.
He told Closer about his wife being the center of his world: “Jillie has a kind of joie de vivre, this perky quality that lights up her room.”
He and Jilly have a close relationship with their daughter Hannah, 35, who is an accomplished horse rider.
A source said: “Tom is very close to Hannah and is extremely proud of her jumping career.
“He wants Hannah to find love and have a child, but he’s not the type of father to push that.”
Tom’s first book, a memoir called You Never Know, is set to be released on May 7th, but sources say it’s not a kiss-and-tell book.
They said: “This is not a Hollywood gossip revelation. He talks about his experiences in (show business), meeting great stars and how they influenced him and what I am sharing what I have learned.”
