When Rainbow Mars’ Venice home first went on the market in September, she decided to step up her sales strategy. Beyond the typical staging and landscaping, the Los Angeles-based actress, author, and health expert has decorated the place with crystals designed to increase prosperity and blessed with the hands of an Incan priestess. and cleansing, hosted parties for countless social influencers, and even featured the residence in a hip-hop-inspired marketing video.
Most recently, after more than 100 days on the market and no takers, she sold the property to local skateboarder-turned-real estate agent Solo Scott of Compass for a newly reduced price of $3.8 million. asked them to relist this modern architectural style property. Although that’s $400,000 less than the original asking price, it’s still about $1 million more than what Mars, formerly married to prominent Hollywood business manager Michael Carlin, paid for her home in late 2018.
Built in 2017, this boxy white and gray building sits on a gated lot on less than four acres just off Abbott Kinney Boulevard, with five beds in just over 3,200 square feet. There are as many bathrooms as rooms. Two stories of living space boasting wide-plank hardwood floors and high ceilings, plus a Sonos sound system.
On the main level, the spacious great room is highlighted by floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a newly refinished wood deck with BBQ and fire pit. Back inside, the living room features a linear fireplace and an adjacent dining area leads to a galley-style kitchen with custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, an eat-in island, dehydrator, and sub-zero refrigerator. Elsewhere, there is a bedroom with its own walk-in closet and full bath.
Upstairs, there are four additional ensuite bedrooms with private balconies, walk-in closets, and spa-like bathrooms with dual vanities, separate soaking tubs, and glass-enclosed showers. Includes a master retreat by the fireplace. Another studio has been converted into a professional soundproof recording studio and is used by top musicians, producers and podcasters, according to the listing.
Particularly striking are the lush grounds, which include quiet resting areas, a custom-built composting station, an edible garden, and a bee and butterfly sanctuary. There is also a two-car garage on site, which can easily be used as a gym or office space.
In addition to the aforementioned efforts already underway to make her oasis, known as “Lighthouse Studios,” more attractive to prospective buyers, Mars is also considering adding a lap pool, which will cost her a monthly fee. We are accepting rental offers for $25,555.
“In Eastern medicine, your home is your health,” she says. “Every point coincides with a point on your body, and every room affects you. Painstaking efforts have been made to increase the vibration.”
