Germany’s AEG has launched a new n-type solar module based on all-back contact (ABC) cell technology.

“All the electrical stuff happens behind the curtain. The contacts are placed on the back of the module, which allows for a ‘gridless’ effect,” says Connie Axel Halverscheid, CTO of Solar Solutions Group at AGE. he said. PV magazine, refers to the design of the cell. “This not only allows a larger active area on the module surface for converting sunlight into electricity, but also ensures an absolutely sophisticated black appearance. Moreover, it has a low temperature coefficient and robustness. The unique dual-glass design makes this solar module a true workhorse.”

The AS-M1089B-GA(M10)/HV solar panel is currently available in three versions with outputs from 445 W to 455 W. The power conversion efficiency ranges from 22.8% to 23,3%, the open circuit voltage operates between 40.15 V and 40.35 V, and the short circuit current ranges from 13.68 A to 13.80 A.

The panels are based on M10 wafers; It measures 1,722mm x 1,134mm x 30mm and weighs 24.0kg. It features 2.0 mm glass, a black frame made from anodized aluminum alloy, and an IP68 rating.that It can operate at a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V and a temperature range of -40 C to 85 C. feature is, Temperature coefficient is -0.29% per degree Celsius.

AEG offers a 40-year product warranty and a 40-year output warranty. The output after 40 years is guaranteed to be at least 83.4% of the nominal output.

“Underscoring our premium approach, this modular design gives us the confidence to offer a market-leading warranty of up to 40 years,” said Hulverscheidt. “The series will soon also include a 460 W version, and will be offered in two variants: glass-on-glass products and glass-on-backsheet modules. Both panels are in a 108-cell design.”
